The Hans Merensky Estate set in the splendour of the Northern Province Bushveld offers the discerning traveller and sport enthusiast a unique African experience. The famous Kruger National Park, one of Africa's largest game reserves, stretches along the entire length of the Estate's eastern boundary. Greet the African dawn on the manicured fairways of our challenging 18 Hole, Par 72 Championship golf course, where crocodile and hippo add spice to the normal "hazards" of a good game of golf. Wild game including elephant, lion, giraffe and a wide variety of antelope and bird life are often seen on the golf course & in the surrounds.

The legendary Bob Grimsdell designed this unique course, which extends over a vast area of indigenous bush, interspersed with tranquil pools and velvet greens. The main Hotel itself with its large trees, water features and beautifully landscaped gardens, as well as the cool ambience of the traditional thatch, provides an oasis of leisure and elegance, the ultimate African dream. The Golf Clubhouse raised to overlook the 9th and 18th Holes offers a view unsurpassed. Sitting on the patio having a chilled refreshment is the perfect way to relax after an exciting day on the golf course. A host of other sporting facilities is on offer. Choose from an exhilarating game of tennis on one of our floodlit courts or speed up on the pace on one of our air-conditioned squash courts.

Cool off in one of our sparkling swimming pools, after training in the gymnasium complete with sauna. Air-conditioned and secluded en suite accommodation is offered in the form of 30 thatched chalets situated along the golf course. Awake to the sounds of birds and watch as a herd of impala graze lazily at your doorstep. Each chalet is a short walk from the clubhouse. In addition, 14 air-conditioned en suite Hotel rooms overlooking the Hotel swimming pool and Pool Bar offer accommodation closer to the main Hotel Block. Dine in the elegant Leadwood A La Carte Restaurant or have a BBQ feast in the adjacent Leadwood Lapa. Alternate menus are also on offer in the Pool Bar and Golf Clubhouse.

The state of the art modern conference venue can hold up to 220 delegates. For the more adventurous, the large Cleveland Game Park, open exclusively to our guests, offers the chance to see lion, elephant, buffalo, and leopard, as well as a wide variety of other African game, in an unspoiled environment. This reserve boasts an exclusive 8 bed Lodge on the banks of the Olifants River where you can view hippos and bird life at sunset from the deck. Hans Merensky boasts a Championship 18-hole Golf Course where birdies are not the only wildlife you will encounter. The impressive clubhouse provides all the appropriate amenities for golfers including an outstanding Pro shop, with vast number of Clubcars

Six tennis courts are floodlit and available to both in-house guests and members. Rackets and balls are available on request.

SQUASH
We have 2 air-conditioned squash courts for in-house guests and members.

A fully equipped gymnasium rounds off the sporting facilities of Hans Merensky Estate. This includes a sauna and overlooks the sport swimming pool.
