Ongava Tented Camp is possibly one of the Etosha’s best kept secrets. Hiding in a valley at the foot of hill in the privately owned 30000 hectare Ongava Game Reserve, it shares a boundry with the Etosha National Park.

Accommodation at Ongava Tented Camp

The camp’s accommodation is made up of nine large Meru tents thus accommodating 18 people. All are en suite and have open air showers and private verandas. There is a family unit that can sleep four guests.

Safaris activities at this comfortable Etosha camp typically begin in the main area with its tranquil bar and swimming pool fronting onto a much-frequented waterhole. This complete Etosha experience in private luxury offers activities such as guided walking safaris, bird watching, hides, night drive safaris, great company and great food.

A special encounter is white rhino tracking – Ongava holds one of the largest rhino custodianships for the Namibian government; these have been set up in safe havens throughout the country in the hopes of breeding rhino up to more sustainable numbers and reintroducing them into areas where they previously
flourished.
