About Leopard Hills

Leopard Hills overlooks a natural waterhole and, situated close to the perennial Sand River, lives right up to its name. From your hilltop sanctuary, you may be lucky enough to catch sight of a leopard on the hunt, a breeding herd of elephant or some gracious kudu. Many species of antelope pass within view of the lodge, while in the reserve, Africa’s big game abounds.

The Safaris

On safari you may see prides of lion, herds of elephant, white rhino, buffalo, cheetah, wild dog, hyena and many more. Leopard Hills spreads over 10,000 hectares of the world-renowned Sabi Sands Game Reserve which forms part of the greater Kruger National Park eco-system.

Each day will be different as one explores the endless fascination of Africa’s wildlife. Hippos wallow in the river. crocodiles bask on a quiet sand bank and overhead, majestic eagles keep watch. At the water’s edge and in the riverine bush you will find hundreds of different species of birds. Out walking you will discover man of the fascinating small creatures of Africa.. and these are just a few of the amazing encounters that await you.

Accommodation at Leopard Hills

Enjoy the private verandah of your suite and the views of the bushveld while relaxing over a drink from your fully-stocked mini bar. Each of the luxurious glass-fronted suites, complete with their own sundeck and rock plunge pool, offer superb views of the bush beyond, while air-conditioning and overhead fans provide added comfort against the African summer heat. Even the bathrooms have romantic possibilities. They include double indoor and outdoor showers and both have panoramic views onto the passing cavalcade below.

Back in camp after our early morning and late afternoon/evening game drives, you will be spoilt by the highest standards of service and fine cuisine, all couched in a welcoming warm, friendly and fun-filled atmosphere - just another special feature of Leopard Hills.

We also have a cellar brimming with racks of celebrated local and International wines. When the heat is on, cool down on the open air verandah, relax in the lounge with a drink, and when in Africa, do as the Africans do and sink below the refreshing surface of the swimming pool.
