Below we have divided the country into 3 regions of interest from a toursim point of view to best present the different accommodation options to help you plan you African safari.
The Western Circuit
Also a region off the beaten track, Tanzania’s Western Circuit offers the visitor a rare glimpse of the country at its unassuming best. The beautiful and rugged terrain of the Katavi National Park offers visitors a unique look at Africa. The breathtaking shores of Lake Victoria yield to incredible boating, fishing and hiking excursions for those who are not content to simply admire the scenery. Accommodation varies between game lodges, safari camps and hotels.

The Northern Circuit
The Northern Circuit in Tanzania is most popular safari region in East Africa. It encompasses the Tarangire National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater, the Lake Manyara National Park, as well as the vast plains of the Serengeti. There are many lodges and hotels through the region offering varying degrees of exclusivity & luxury. For a first timer on an African Safari, the Northern Circuit offers a very memorable experience.

The Southern Circuit
The Southern Circuit is where seasoned safari travellers come to enjoy Tanzania in her most pristine form. The region is off the beaten safari track and gives visitors the opportunity to view prolific wildlife unscathed by human interaction. The game reserves in this area include the Ruaha National Park, the Rungwa Game Reserve and the Selous Game Reserve. The safari lodges and camps in this area are also varied but not as many as in the Northern Circuit. The starting point for a safari to this region is Dar es Salaam.
