Okonjima - Caprivi Strip Namibia
Okonjima, home of the AfriCat Foundation, is only 2 1/2 hours, drive north of Windhoek (off the B1). AfriCat is a non-profit organisation committed to long term conservation of Namibia's large carnivores, especially cheetahs and leopards. A visit to Okonjima will give you a chance to witness some of AfriCat's work.
Activities include the "Cheetah Tracking Trail" on foot, or a visit to our Cheetah Project. Leopard viewing from the safety of a hide or radio-tracked from our gameviewing vehicles. Birding, guided and self-guided walking trails. No day visitors or children under 12 years permitted.
