Safari Train Itinerary
Pretoria - Malelane - Swaziland - Hluhluwe - Durban
Your special journey begins as soon as you board the Pride of Africa at the gracious Rovos Rail station in Pretoria. This charming train departs in the morning and slowly meanders through the majesty of Mpumalanga with a short stop in Witbank. It then descends the escarpment between Belfast and Waterval Onder, taking you through the Drakensberg and what is surely the most spectacular sundowner scenery in South Africa.
The following morning you'll receive an early wake up call to join a game drive through the famous Kruger Park. A brunch will then be served in the dining car while your train snakes its way over the wide horizons of Swaziland, in time for an afternoon game drive in the Mkhaya Game Reserve. Here your day will be suitably rounded off with a candlelit bush dinner in the pristine riverine setting of their exclusive Stone Camp.
After dinner, while you close your eyes and dream of a truly memorable day, the train will travel south to the village of Hluhluwe in Zululand. Starting early once again, you are assured of seeing a wide variety of game on a morning game drive through the scenic Hluhluwe Nature Reserve. The Pride of Africa then departs mid-morning and winds its way through the lush canefields and rolling hills of KwaZulu-Natal, to arrive in Durban by late afternoon where your scenic safari ends.

05:00 Wake up call for a game drive in the Kruger.
11:00 Brunch served.
15:30 We arrive at Mkhaya reserve for our afternoon game drive and bush dinner.
20:00 Depart for Hluhluwe.

05:00 Wake up call for a game drive in Hluhluwe Game Reserve.
10:00 Depart for Durban.
17:00 Arrive Durban.

15:15 We arrive at Malelane for the game drive in the Kruger Park followed by a boma dinner.
