Tarangire Treetops features 20 luxury en-suite rooms, built atop tree-attached platforms, overlooking the Tarangire Sand River. The camp has been superbly blended into the environment with the sleeping platforms built into a variety of Baobab, Mopani and Wild Fig trees. The dining area is situated close to the swimming pool and elephant water hole.is an innovative and stunningly original property consisting of large tree houses built upon platforms amongst a cluster of Baobab, Mopani and Wild Fig Trees. Each en-suite unit has a private veranda and lounge area, with sweeping views over our private Conservation area.
Tarangire Treetops is located within the 57000 acre Tarangire Conservation Area straddling the wet-season migration route into the adjacent Tarangire National Park. This partnership with the villages of Lokisale and Makayuni provides revenue for community development such as the building of schools and dispensaries, grading of roads and erection of water-pumps. In exchange for these benefits the local communities limit farming and grazing and stop all poaching, deforestation and charcoal burning, thus ensuring the habitat protection that will return the area to its natural state. This initiative to involve landowners, villagers, farmers, tribal communities in resource management to resolve conflicts and open up new economic opportunities while preserving the traditional habitats and migration routes used by African mammals for millions of years. These areas often contain marginalized populations that have had their lands taken away without their consent for uses in tourism and as a result become the main recruitment centres for poachers. For visitors, Tarangire Conservation Area offers the opportunity for diversity from the vehicle-based daytime game drives and does so in a remote wilderness area, free of the minibus hordes. Visitors are allowed to experience the nocturnal glimpses of wildlife on a night drive, to experience the African savannah from the comparatively unique perspective of a foot safari and visit a Tanzanian village that has profited from their experiences.

Nairobi as a capital city grew up all around the Norfolk. From the new and old worlds the first guests came, many of noble birth. The guest list made its name as a legend then and still does so today.
