Big Five Trek

Day 1
Arrival and Depart for the Aberdare Country club.  Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy a lovely lunch in a colonial style atmosphere. Relax in a beautiful landscape featuring a swimming pool, Golf course, gift shop, etc. Here one can see warthog; bush browsing on the golf course. After lunch will depart for the world famous ark. Which is built like the biblical boat. This is where many animals come to lick the salt from the earth. You will be able to view from four different areas. Animals that frequent the ark are elephants, buffalo, the rare black rhino and bushbuck, even the elusive leopard and lion. Although one never knows what will come and when, the anticipation is part of the thrill. Dinner is served in the ark. You can stay up as long as you wish watching the animals come and go or retire to your small but adequate room that features a view of the forest and hot showers.

Ps. only overnight bags are allowed at the ark, the rest of the luggage to be stored at the Aberdare Country Club

Day 2
After breakfast depart for Nakuru National park the home of Flamingoes, waterbucks, Lions and Hippos. Lunch will be served at the lodge. An afternoon game drive gives you the opportunity to view Lake Nakuru well knows for its famous spectacle of birds it is the home of say, a million pink Flamingos. Standing tall their beauty, is simply breath taking. This park also serves as the home to the white and black rhino, be on the look out.

Day 3
Depart for the Famous Maasai Mara after a hearty breakfast. Arrive in time for lunch. An afternoon game drive will give you an opportunity to view wildlife at this reserve named one of the 7th wonders of the world. Wildlife at the Mara reserve can be observed throughout the year. The reserve shelters elephant, black rhino, buffalo, plains zebra, hartebeest, lion, leopard and cheetah. Moreover, animals like the hippo and the crocodile can be found in the rivers.

Day 4
Spend the whole day enjoying the untamed beauty of the Maasai Mara. Vast herds of wildebeest and zebra wander across the Mara grasslands, their numbers increasing during the annual migration from Serengeti. Lion, leopard and cheetah follow close behind, while crocodile and hippo congregate in the Mara and Talek rivers. Picnic lunch can be arranged to enable you enjoy uninterrupted game drive.

Dinner and overnight meals - Mara Simba/Keekorok.

 

Day 5
After breakfast depart for Nairobi. Transfer to the Airport for your departure.
