10 Day Namibia Safari



Day 01

On arrival in Windhoek you will collect your rented car and will make your way to the Windhoek Country Club for (1) night on a bed & breakfast basis.

At the Windhoek Hotel and Country Club, luxury is the standard. From the moment you check in, you know you are in a world class hotel. Every entertainment you could want is available right there. Gourmets delight in the Kokerboom and Terrace Restaurant with ample buffets, Namibian venison and fresh Atlantic seafood. the afternoons may see you on the tennis court, in the swimming pool or golfing your way through 18 holes towards the well-stocked bar. High rollers will be attracted by the lure of instant wealth, and poker, roulette and blackjack or 290 slots. Leave the children in the Video workshop, an area where even adults can enjoy themselves. Of course we have a serious side. Our large ultramodern conference auditorium seats 600 and there are many smaller conference facilities. Need we mention our 152 luxurious rooms and suites? Day 02

After breakfast you will make your way to the Sossusvlei Wilderness Camp for (2) nights on a fully inclusive basis.

Situated approximately 30 kilometres from Sesriem on a 7 000 ha property with wonderful desert scenery. The lodge offers close access to Sossusvlei as well as privacy and exclusivity. The property harbours vast desert plains and rugged mountains, with views of the dunes in the distance. The camp, consisting of nine comfortable rock, timber and thatch guest rooms recessed into the face of a low hill or "kopje” ensures personal service and attention, while at the same time protecting the wonderfully peaceful atmosphere of the desert. The en suite bathrooms have both hot and cold running water, showers and flush loos, as well as a panoramic view of the plains below. Access to the bungalows and central lapa area is by elevated walkways, with hidden swimming pools and shady nooks giving relief from the midday heat. Access to the lodge is either by vehicle or by air charter. There is a landing strip on the property and there are frequent flights from Windhoek. Activities are excellent and varied, with experienced guides and pilots bringing the desert to life during drives, walks, flights and ballooning. An early morning drive to Sossusvlei, with breakfast under the camelthorn trees. An optional extra is to see the sun changing the colours of dunes and mountains at dawn from a hot-air balloon! It goes without saying that the night skies are amongst the clearest on this planet, with the stargazing platform and astral telescope being a popular after dinner rendezvous.


Day 03

At leisure in Sossusvlei.


Day 04

Today you will drive to Swakopmund where you will overnight at the Swakopmund Hotel for (2) nights on a bed & breakfast basis.

The 4 star luxury Swakopmund Hotel and Entertainment Centre offers much in the way of leisure and actioned-packed activities. From relaxing on the beach, camel and horse riding into the dunes, dune biking and desert braai's to tennis, or golfing at Rossmund, one of the few desert courses in the world. Or you may prefer to relax around the pool at the hotel, see a movie at the centre's own cinema and there is the vidoe arcade for children. If you are combining business with pleasure, the Spitzkoppe Conference Centre can accommodate up to 350 delegates. In the evenings, after a fine meal in Platform One Restaurant, the Tavern Bar is the setting for live entertainment. Feeling lucky? Court Lady Luck at poker, blackjack and roulette or the high-payout slots in the Mermaid Casino. Then, as the sun rises over the Namib, retire to one of ninety luxury rooms or the superb Presidential Suites. All this, at The Swakopmund Hotel and Entertainment Centre "Where the Skeleton Coast comes to life".


Day 05

At leisure to explore Swakopmund.


Day 06

After breakfast you will drive to Damaraland Camp where you will overnight for (2) nights on a fully inclusive basis.

Situated on the north slopes of the Huab River terraces is a camp that practices holistic tourism. The Damaraland Camp integrates the local community, environment and wildlife, offering a true wilderness experience in magnificent surroundings. Eight large tents in east African style face the southern view, each with en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold showers, basin and toilet. Shaded verandas afford a place to sit and read, catch up on mail or just enjoy the endless views. The lapa combines dining and social area, with an open fire for the chilly evenings. A small rock pool nestles at the foot of an ancient waterfall in a nearby ravine. Desert adapted elephant frequent the dry river lines along with an amazing variety of other wildlife. Strange plants play host to stranger insects and your guide brings insight to the questions and answers of survival in a desert environment. Please, at all times, keep in mind that there are no fences between you and the environment and that the animals are wild.


Day 07

At leisure at Damaraland.


Day 08

Today you will drive to the Etosha Game Reserve where you will overnight at Ongava Game Lodge for (2) nights on a fully inclusive basis.

Ongava Game Lodge is situated along the southern boundary of Etosha National Park in the privately owned Ongava Game Reserve. Ongava is the ideal place from which to base your activities when visiting Etosha. Accommodation comprises 10 air-conditioned rock and thatch chalets, each with en-suite facilities. Meals are served in the main dining area under thatch with a view over the camp’s water hole. Activities include game drives in open 4x4 vehicles into the Okaukuejo area of Etosha where Lion, Elephant, Cheetah, Gemsbok, Springbok, and Hartebeest can be seen at many of the water holes in the park. In addition, night drive’s, hides and walks with armed guides are enjoyed on the private reserve. Ongava has resident White and Black Rhino, giving guests staying at Ongava the opportunity to see both species.

On safari at Ongava.

Day 10


Today you will drive back to Windhoek International Airport where you will drop off your rented car.
