9 Day Kenya Big 5 Safari

This 9 day Big 5 Safari in Kenya, explores some of Kenya most beautiful game reserves and conservation areas. The safari offers guests a big picture view of a typical Kenyan safari. The ‘big 5’ in Africa is term that comes from the hunting fraternity - referring to the 5 most dangerous game species to hunt. The photographic safari industry has also recognized these 5 animals as the most sought after animals to photograph.

Day 01 - Nairobi to Amboseli

Ol Tukai Lodge

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be met by your English speaking driver / guide and will be transferred to the Amboseli National Park. Here you will stay at the Ol Tukai Lodge for (2) nights on a full board basis.

Day 02 - On safari at Amboseli National Park

Experience the majestic view of Kilimanjaro whilst on your morning and afternoon game drive safaris in the Amboseli National Park

Day 03 - Amboseli - Treetops (in the Abedares)

Treetops Lodge - Abedares

In the afternoon you will drive to the Aberdares National Park. From a hotel close by you will be transferred in special vehicles to the Treetops Lodge where you will spend (1) night on a full board basis, enjoying game viewing from the verandas at the lodge.

Day 04 - Abedares to Samburu Game Reserve

This morning you will be transferred across the Equator to the edge of the Northern Frontier where the Samburu Game Reserve lies. Here you will spend (2) nights at the Samburu Lodge on a full board basis.

Day 05 - On safari at the Samburu Game Reserve

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in Samburu.

Day 06 - Samburu to Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru National Park

This morning you will be transferred, via the Nyahururu Falls, down to the floor of the Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park. Here you will spend (1) night at the Lion Hill Sarova Lodge on a full board basis. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park.

Day 07 - Lake Nakuru National Park to Masai Mara

Mara Sarova Camp

After breakfast you will drive further along the Rift Valley to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Here you will spend (2) nights at the Mara Sarova Camp on a full board basis. The Masai Mara Game Reserve promises wide open spaces, big herds of animals and a variety of game. The area comes into its own during the wildebeest migration which normally appears in this area between July and Oct each year.

Day 08 - On safari in the Maasai Mara

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the Masai Mara.

Day 09 - Maasai Mara to Nairobi

After your morning game drive you will be transferred to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your outbound flight.
