6 Night Victoria Falls, Chobe & Safariboat Adventure

This 6 night adventure to Victoria Falls and Chobe is a solid favourite! The itinerary includes the Victoria Falls, and its highlights, and then takes in a quality safari in Botswana’s Chobe National Park, whilst staying at Elephant Valley Lodge (just outside the park), and then culminates with the extraordinary
experience of two nights on a houseboat on the Chobe River.

Day 01 - Johannesburg to Victoria Falls

On arrival in Johannesburg you make your wway to the BA check in counter and check in for your flight to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. On your arrival in Victoria Falls, you will be met and transferred to the Lokuthula Lodge, where you check in for (2) nights on a bed & breakfast basis.

Day 02 - Tour Victoria Falls

This morning after your breakfast you will be collected from Lokuthula Lodge and taken on a tour of the Victoria Falls and Monde Tribal Village. At Victoria Falls you get to witness Devil’s Cataract, the Main Falls as well as the Horseshoe Falls. At the Monde Village guests get to have insight into real African rural life starts with a visit to a rural primary school. The tour also visits business centre in the village, and ends with visits to two local homesteads where you meet the local people. Late this afternoon you will be taken on a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River including drinks (beer and wine) and light snacks.

Day 03 - Victoria Falls to Elephant Valley Lodge, Chobe, Botswana

This morning you will be collected from the lodge and transferred across the border into Botswana. You continue to the Elephant Valley Lodge, where you check in for (2) nights on a fully inclusive basis. Elephant Valley Lodge is located in the Kasane Forest Reserve that borders the Chobe River, and is an ideal base to explore the Chobe National Park.

Day 04 - On safari at Elephnat Valley Lodge, Chobe, Botswana

Today your are hosted and guided by the Elephant Valley Lodge’s staff and rangers. Your day will include and morning and and afternoon game viewing safari into the Chobe National Park.

Day 05 - Elephant Valley Lodge to Ichobezi Safariboat, Namibia

Ichobezi Safariboat

This morning after your breakfast and morning safari you will be transferred to the Kasane immigration where you will be met by a representative of the Ichobezi Safariboats. After clearing customs for Namibia, you will be transferred by boat across the Chobe River to Namibia’s Impalila Island where you check info and board the Ichobezi Safariboat for (2) nights on a fully inclusive basis. This afternoon the boat cruises along the banks of the Chobe National Park giving you excellent views over the water and possibly herds of elephant, buffalo and antelope. This evening the boat docks for the night and dinner is served. The rest of the evening is yours to enjoy the stars and African night sounds.

Day 06 - Ichobezi Safariboat

Today the day is yours to laze on the deck, or take one of the tenderboats & guides for a cruise up the channels to enjoy some birding or fishing.Another option is to pay a visit to one of the local fishing villages that make these floodplains home. Breakfast is normally served at 08h30 and lunch at about 13h00 but the crew of the Ichobezi are open to change to allow you to plan your days excursions.

Day 07 - Ichobezi Safariboat to Jo’burg via Victoria Falls

This morning you will be transferred by boat back to Impalila Island to clear customs out of Namibia, cross over into Botswana. In Botswana you will be met and transferred by road back to Victoria Falls Airport in Zimbabwe. Here you board your outbound flight back to the OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, South Africa.
