7 Day Cape Winelands & Safari

This 7 day / 6 night tour in South Africa visits to prime areas, namely the Cape Winelands outside Cape Town and the Kapama Private Game Reserve in the Kruger National Park area. The itinerary uses small, intimate and luxurious properties and is very well priced. The Cape Winelands in South Africa is considered one of the worlds best wine making areas, and the greater Kruger National Park region is truely one of Africa’s finest game viewing areas.
Day 01 Cape Town International to Franschoek in the Cape Winelands

On arrival in Cape Town you make your way to the Avis Desk and collect your rented car. You take a scenic drive into the picturesque Franschoek Valley where you check in at the Franschoek Country House for (3) nights on a bed and breakfast basis, where you have the time to soak up the post card beautiful setting.
Day 02 - 03 Cape Winelands
Days at leisure to enjoy the fine life of the Cape Winelands. Franschhoek is all about good food and fine wine. There are many good restaurants in the area, as well as of course some of the planets best wine farms all within an hours’ drive. The wine routes are easy to toursits to find their wway on, and we can arrange a guided tour & tasting if you prefer not to drive.


There are many other activities in the area all easily done on a day’s outing, including beaches, whale watching at Hermanus, a visit to Cape Town or the Table Mountain and the craggy and spectacular Cape Peninsula.
Day 04 Cape Winelands to Kapama Game Reserve

This morning you drive back to the Cape Town International Airport where you drop off your car and board a flight to Johannesburg. Here you connect with another flight to the small bush town of Hoedspruit adjacent to the mid western edge of the Kruger Park. On arrival at the Eastgate Airport you will be met and transferred to the Kapama Private Game Reserve, and taken to the Kapama Karula Camp where you spend the next (3) nights on a fully inclusive basis in one of only 7 luxury air conditoned safari tents.
Day 05 - 06 Enjoy an unforgetable African Safari.
This outstanding safari camp is made up of seven luxury air-conditioned tents and five larger exclusive suites. Each tent is of cours eensuite complete with his & hers basin as well as in& out door showers. Each tent has sweeping glass front views of the African Bush. The main area at Karula includes a lounge, dining room, bar, and pool area all with enchanting views over the perennial Klaserie River that runs through the reserve.


Twice daily guided game drive safaris and / or walks are undertaken in the early morning and late afternoon - evening. The middle of your day is left for you to decide. Some relaxation is often on the cards for most safari guests, but other activities in the reserve (or nearby) include visiting the wellness centre, hot air ballooning, an elephant interaction programme or a visit to the Centre for Endangered Animals.
Day 07 Kapama to Johannesburg
This morning after your game drive and breakfast you will be transferred back to Eastgate Airport where you board your flight back to Johannesburg.
