Elephant Safari Lodge is located close to the Addo National Park in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. Situated at just a 20 minute flight or 1hr 20 min drive from Port Elizabeth, this luxury tented camp offers travellers to South Africa spacious and beautifully appointed suites. The Elephant Safari Lodge is an ideal safari destination when travelling the Garden Route, it can be added to your safari itinerary either before or after you have travelled the Garden Route - the perfect place to relax in your private piece of Africa as you gaze over the African bush in which you may spot giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, eland and other wildlife.
This environmentally friendly lodge is constructed of part canvas, part recycled Brazilian pine . Some suites are ensconced in a an indigenous yellowwood forest and others perched on the side of a hill with breathtaking African views of the valley and surrounding bushveld. Each suite boasts and outdoor spa bath for guests to enjoy and are decorated in the old colonial style of a time gone by in Africa. Take the opportunity to relax in these remarkably spacious and sophisticated suites set against the tranquil backdrop of the African bush.

Elephant Back Safaris and Other Safari Activities
Guests enjoy game drive safaris & guided walking trails in which in the company the experienced game rangers you explore this 7500 hectare wildlife conservancy. Sightings of amongst others include eland, gemsbok, springbok, wildebeest and zebra. In addition to these safari activities, Elephant Safari Lodge offers guests the unique opportunity to either walk with or ride the elephants through this diverse habit. During this once in a lifetime experience you sit high and secure on the back of an elephant in a saddle especially designed for this activity, as the gentle giants pad and sway their way through the African Bush. The elephant walk or elephant back safari culminates in a close up view of the elephants taking a much loved swim in one of the water holes in the reserve!
