Location

Savuti Camp will provide you with a unique visit to Botswana. In 1980, the famous Savute channel stopped flowing and the area became an open grassland, but in 2008 the river returned and with it, a number of changes. This Botwana camp is situated in the Linyanti Reserve in northern Botswana and is about 17 kilometres downstream from the source of the Savute. With the return of the water, an abundance of wildlife is adjusting to the environment. Hippos are once again splashing about in the deep, clear waterway while plains game, predators and a variety of birds can all be spotted near the water while you enjoy your safari in Botswana.

Accommodation

Safari Accommodation at Savuti Camp is offered in seven large walk-in tents, all of which come with en suite facilities. Each tent is raised off the ground on wooden decks and features a private terrace which faces the channel. The camp also offers a thatched dining area, pub and plunge pool, all of which are raised wooden decks.

The Safaris

Exploring the surrounding area can be enjoyed in a number of different ways at Savuti Camp. Superb African game drive safaris are done in the day and night, while beautiful guided walks can be arranged on request. A number of perfectly situated hides will provide exciting and safe close encounters. Winter months are arguably the best times to stay at Savuti, as a higher concentration of game is in the area. Guests enjoying a Botswana safari here could see sable antelope, lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, spotted hyena, black-backed jackal and wild dog. Excellent sightings of Aardvark and aardwolf are also common in the winter months.
