A combination of Olde Worlde charm and contemporary luxuries is what makes the Fancourt Hotel so distinctive. At Fancourt, guests can choose between a room in the beautifully restored Manor House or one of the many stately Garden Suites and Studios, which are all newly refurbished. Whatever your choice, we can guarantee your holiday or business stay will be most memorable. At Fancourt, we have ensured a variety of accommodation to suit the needs of all our guests.

At the Manor House, you will find a restful haven in a building with a history dating back to the beginnings of the 19th century: in 1847 Henry Fancourt White established a workers’ base at the foot of the Outeniqua Mountains for the construction of the Montagu Pass, which you can still travel on. Now a National Monument, the Manor House with it’s 34 bedrooms is situated in a wooded parkland and is the perfect base for your leisure or conference activities. Fancourt’s Garden Suites and Studios offer guests the chance to rest in the most peaceful setting of all - the magnificent gardens. Depending on your specific requirements, choose from the Garden Studios or the One or Two-Bedroomed Garden Suites. All are just a few steps away from the Fancourt’s renowned tree-and flower-lined garden avenues; and some offer stunning views of the golf course as well.

The Fancourt Leisure Trail consisting of two distances, 1,9 or 6 kilometres has been designed specifically with the needs of the outdoor trainer in mind. Consisting of a wide variety of contours, the trail provides both a challenge for the serious enthusiast or a more leisurely approach for the amateur. So whether running or walking you will have the opportunity to nourish body and soul while enjoying the Resort’s scenic beauty. For those with more energy, mountain bikes and backpacks are available for hire, and there is plenty of horse-riding in the region.

Fancourt Hotel and Country Club Estate has four golf courses to offer the golfing visitor. All the courses are renowned for their amazing year round condition and the attention to detail that is shown. The Montagu and Outeniqua are two world class Parkland layouts with the Montagu achieving the No. 1 ranking in South Africa by Golf Digest Magazine. Both courses are very similar and present a true test of golf in aesthetically beautiful surroundings. The Links course opened in November 2000 and presents a very special, and unique to South Africa, golfing experience. Already ranked as South Africa’s best new course, you really could believe you are playing golf on the Scottish Coast.

Bramble Hill is the fourth course on the estate and is a Parkland course with Links features and offers a nice mix of the estate’s other three courses. The course is a public ‘Pay for Play’ facility and really has been designed to offer golfers of every level a Fancourt experience. The Gold Academy at Fancourt is a superb facility and has two full time teaching professionals attached to it, to offer expert advice and tuition. The hitting area is ideal, consisting of undercover bays, 300 sq m of immaculate turf and is complemented by a four hole learning course.
