Location of Epako Game Lodge

Epako, a Herero word meaning the corner of a mountain range, is an upmarket luxury game lodge which treats its guest to a unique African experience.
Situated approximately 270km north west of Windhoek and 22km north of Omaruru on the Kalkfeld road, the lodge nestles against a hillside overlooking the Epako River. In close proximity are several waterholes, one of which is illuminated at night. Epako’s 11 000 ha of dense African bush harbours a considerable variety of animals and numerous bird species. Morning game drives include visits to sites of Bushman paintings and rock engravings. Afternoon game drives include viewing cheetah, leopard and caracal feeding, providing a unique experience while enjoying your African safari.

Accommodation at Epako Game Lodge

Accommodation consists of 25 luxury double bedroom units, complete with telephones and air-conditioning. A spacious lounge and terrace-style restaurant overlook the riverbed and waterhole. Epako’s cuisine is an elegant combination of traditional Namibian ingrediants and French cooking, enhanced by South African wines and French champagne.
