Ichobezi Luxury Safariboats

Ichobezi Luxury Safariboats (Moli and Mukwae) offer a very unique way of experiencing the Chobe area. Operating out Ichingo Chobe River Lodge (in Namibia’s Caprivi Strip), the Ichobezi Safariboats explore the waterways & floodplains of the Chobe River, Zambezi River and Kasai Channel. This means of safari gives guests an ever changing view of this unique and beautiful part of Southern Africa.

The Ichingo Chobe River Lodge itself is located on the Impalila Island - the eastern most point of land on Namibia’s Caprivi Strip. Guests booked onto the Ichobezi Luxury Safariboats, check in at the Ichingo Chobe River Lodge which is best accessed via Kasane in Botswana. A short boat trip from the Kasane Immigration brings guests to the lodge. Kasane is accessed by means of a direct flight from Johannesburg, or by means of road and/or boat transfers from either Livingstone Airport in Zambia or Victoria Falls Airport in Zimbabwe. The many camps of the Okavango Delta are also easily accessed from Kasane Airport, so can easily be added into your itinerary. The Victoria Falls is on 80 km downstream from Kasane, and is well recommended to be included in your safari itinerary

Each Safariboat is 18 metres long and gives guests a truly luxury houseboat experience. The crew that run the boat are experienced and know the region intimately and readily share their knowledge and enthusiasm with the guests.

Ichobezi Safariboat, Chobe National Park

Each of the Ichobezi Safariboats have four tatsefuly appointed en-suite cabins from which guests have excellent visibility to truly appreciate the changing beauty that continually unfolds as you cruise the waters. With only four cabins per boat a maximum of 8 guests are taken at a time, ensuring a degree of privacy and exclusivity. The boats also have a convivial entertainment area including a deck with a lounge, a well-stocked bar, the dining area and a plunge pool with sunning deck. The facilities all contribute to a completely relaxing and luxurious stay.

As part of the Ichobezi Safariboats equipment, there are a number of small tender boats that are used the facilitate the many activities on offer. This means guests have a choice of what they wish to do and do not have to conform to what anyone else wishes to do.

The activities on offer include cruising the channels in a tender boat looking for birds, fishing the pools and rapids of the area, viewing wildlife on the banks of Botswana’s Chobe National Park or paying a rewarding visit to of the local villages where guests get to meet and talk with the local tribes men and women.
