Day 01 - Arrive Cape Town, South Africa

On arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met and privately transferred to Cloud Nine Boutique Hotel where you will spend 03 nights on a bed and breakfast basis (Heritage Classic Room with balcony).

Day 02 - Full Day Excursion to explore the Cape Peninsula

After breakfast, you will be collected for a private full-day scenic Peninsula tour. Drink in Cape Town’s magnificent coastline, fynbos-covered mountains and indigenous wildlife on this scenic adventure. Climb the iconic lighthouse at Cape Point, get up close and personal with penguins at Boulder’s Beach and admire rare plants at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

Day 03 - Guided Tour of the City of Cape Town & Table Mountain

After breakfast, you will be collected for a private half-day City & Table Mountain tour. Enjoy breathtaking views from the cable car and the summit of one of the seven natural wonders of the world: Table Mountain. Be moved by Cape Town’s colourful past when you visit historic landmarks such as the Malay Quarter and the Castle of Good Hope.

Day 04 - Cape Town to Shindzela Safari Camp, Timbavati Nature Reserve, near Kruger National Park

After breakfast, you will be collected and transferred to Cape Town International Airport where you will board your scheduled flight to Hoedspruit. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve where you will spend 03 nights on a full board basis including activities as per includes (Safari Tent).

Day 05 to 06 - On Safari at Shindzela Safari Camp

Enjoy twice daily guided safari activities at Shindzela Bushcamp.  These take place in the early morning and again in the late afternoon - early evening when the weather is more agreeable and the wildlife are more on the move to feed & water.

Day 07 - Shindzela Safari Camp to Johannesburg

This morning after your safari & breakfast you will be transferred to Hoespruit where you will board your scheduled flight to Johannesburg. On arrival you will be met and transferred to African Rock Hotel (located very close to the OR Tambo International Airport), and overnight here on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis (Luxury Suite).

In the afternoon you will be collected for a tour of Soweto. We enter Soweto via Diepkloof Ext which is the upmarket part of Soweto and drive past Diepkloof Hostel which has been transformed from migrant labour accommodation to informal family accommodation. We continue past Baragwanath Hospital which is the biggest hospital in the southern hemisphere, and then on past the Orlando Towers which is now the landmark of Soweto. At Kliptown we see the Sisulu Square of Dedication where the Freedom Charter was signed, and make a stop at the site where 13-year-old boy Hector Pieterson was shot and killed by the police on 16 June 1976. The Hector Pieterson Museum is fascinating with its state-of-the-art multimedia centre depicting scenes leading up to the students’ uprising of 1976 and the eventual transition to democracy in South Africa. We stop for a tour at the newly revamped Mandela House, which is filled with many interesting memorabilia about the South African liberation icon.

Day 08 - Johannesburg to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

This morning you will be transferred to OR Tambo International Airport, and board your flight to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge where you will spend 01 night on a bed and breakfast basis (Waterhole Facing Room).

In the afternoon you will be collected for a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River including drinks (beer and wine) and light snacks. Transfer to the jetty for a cruise along the Upper Zambezi in the late afternoon. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the Zambezi River in relaxation, with local wines, beers, soft drinks and snacks served during the trip. This trip often offers a magnificent chance to witness a spectacular African sunset as well as wildlife such as hippos and crocodiles. Cruise back to the jetty for transfer back to the hotel after sunset.

Day 09 - Victoria Falls to Zambezi Queen Houseboat, Chobe River, Namibia

After breakfast depart on a guided tour of the Victoria Falls itself. The first stop is the Big Tree - a massive baobab many hundreds of years old with a girth of some 22 meters. The tour continues to the falls, starting at Livingstone’s statue and Devil’s Cataract and proceeding through the rainforest to Danger Point. The total walk is 3 km with many spectacular viewpoints along the way. Raincoats are available for hire at an additional cost. PLEASE NOTE: The falls are fullest in about June and lowest in about November due to the rains that fall.

After your tour, you will be transferred across the border into northern Botswana to the town of Kasane on the Chobe River. Here you will be assisted through customs into Namibia. (Please wear comfortable shoes, as there is a short walk to the immigration office). From immigration, you will be assisted onto a motorboat for the scenic boat transfer to the Zambezi Queen Houseboat, which you board and check in for 02 nights on a fully inclusive basis as per includes (Standard Suite).

If you arrive with the 13:00 and 14:00 transfers, you’ll be served lunch, while if you’re transferred at 15:00 or 16:00 you’ll be served a snack before the sunset cruise by tender boat starts. Once all our guests have boarded in the late afternoon, after a safety briefing and if the weather permits, we’ll go in search of some big game by tender boat. This is the perfect time of day to make the most of that golden glow of the African sunset by getting some iconic shots of the animals as they gravitate towards the river before night falls.

Return to the Zambezi Queen and freshen up before meeting your host on the upper deck with a welcome drink. After taking in the spectacular scenery, you’ll make your way to the dining room where you’ll be served a delectable three-course dinner along with an excellent choice of paired wines. Finish off with an espresso or nightcap at the bar before retiring to the African night sounds emanating from the river banks.

Day 10 - On Safari aboard the Zambezi Queen Houseboat

The early morning light on the Chobe River is best enjoyed with a cup of tea or coffee, while you decide on what your morning activity will be. This can be a boat-based safari, a guided fishing excursion, or a visit to a working local village.

Or if you prefer you can lounge on the deck and soak in the sun and spectacular African scenery. Lunch is enjoyed aboard the boat and then you have the opportunity for another boat-based game-watching excursion. The afternoons on the Chobe River often host an abundance of wildlife that come to drink, including big herds of elephants. Dinner is back on the boat and the night skies are for you to enjoy.

Day 11 - Chobe River to Okavango Delta, Botswana

Enjoy your last breakfast while you soak in the sun and water. From the Zambezi Queen, you will be transferred by motor boat back to immigration to depart Namibia, and then onto Botswana’s Kasane. After clearing back into Botswana you will be transferred by road to Kasane Airport where you board your light aircraft for the air transfer over the breathtaking Okavango Delta. You land at Camp Okavango, and it’s here you will spend 03 nights on a fully inclusive basis as per includes (Luxury Tent).

Day 12 to 13 - On Safari in the Okavango Delta, Botswana

Water-based activities are conducted by experienced professional guides. These take the form of a silent glide in a traditional mokoro (dugout canoe) through the myriad of waterways. Alternatively, enjoy a fishing excursion on a motorized boat or a guided walk on one of the lush wooded islands.

Day 14 - Okavango Delta to Johannesburg, South Africa

This morning after your last activity and breakfast you will board your charter flight to Maun Airport. Here you board your flight back to Johannesburg, South Africa from where you will continue on your own arrangements.
