Tom and I arrived back in London yesterday after a glorious vacation. I wanted to report back to you that everything you planned for us was perfect. Every hotel had our booking, every tour guide and driver was meticulously on time and charming, every meal you planned for us was in a gorgeous venue (Franschhoek and Cape of Good Hope) and the mechanics of “timing” between attractions was on the mark.
Tom and I especially enjoyed the tour guides, Andre Joubert for the panoramic tour and David Hearn in the wine country, Simon’s Town and Cape Town. Both were entertaining and knowledgeable (and good drivers). We at all times felt very safe and well cared for.
So, we thank you for all your planning and attention to detail. Our vacation was perfect and we will certainly recommend you to our friends visiting South Africa.
I wanted to make one recommendation to you. Whilst in Cape Town, Tom and I did a photographic “tour” with a brilliant teacher and professional photographer named Peter Haarhoff. Peter cleverly taught Tom and me how to better use our cameras and to compose more artistic photos. He also took us to charming places to which we would never have ventured on our own. Our only regret is that we took the photography lesson at the very end of our travels rather than the beginning. I would like to introduce you to Peter
and suggest that you may want to recommend a day or half day with Peter to some of your guests (preferably at the beginning of their vacations). I have copied Peter on this email so that you have his email address.
