Hello Anna-Lee and Cindy,

I just want to let you know that we are now back home and had a wonderful time in Southern Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana (including the short connection in Zambia).

All along the way, at all stages, we were met by the tour escort and they took good care of us. The most complex transfer being the one from Elephant Valley Lodge to Zambia Airport. This involved driver pick-up at Elephant Valley Lodge, to Zambezi River. A small boat ferried us across the river, where another driver picked us up, and took us to the Zambia airport.

(note: South Africa passport control never asked us for Yellow Fever Cards, even though we were prepared).

All in all, the trip was fantastic. Cindy, you did a great job, lining up all the various locations and accommodations. We were very happy.

The game drive in Chobe National Park was very good with an abundance of animals to see, and we also had a river cruise one morning, in lieu of the game drive and saw more animals, plus mammals and birds. It was a vehicle with canopy and driver/guide.  He stuck to the designated roads and trails. Never went off trail.

The game drive in Kapama was more off-road. The vehicle was open air, no canopy. Each vehicle had a driver/guide and tracker sitting on the front bumper/hood of vehicle.  Twice daily game drives, early morning (dawn) and late evening (dusk and dark). Example: We saw carcasses are animals being devoured by lions and leopards.  In general, there were less animals, and it took us a long time to make a significant sighting, but still managed to find the big 5!

I have advised my travel agent in the USA, to consider using your company, if the need arises. I have no hesitation to recommend African Travel Gateway to friends and colleagues.

Thank you very much.

Regards
Hart
