Our 5 Day Zambia Safari takes you to just two of Zambia’s many highlights. First stop is the Victoria Falls which is a must see if you have come all the way to this part of Africa. From here we visit the Lower Zambezi National Park, a wildlife region in the south east part of the country.
Home to big trees, big game and beautiful big blue skies, the Lower Zambezi never fails to enchant an African traveler. The safari includes flights both regionally (from and back to Johannesburg), and of course the internal light aircraft transfers needed to join the two regions. We are able to amend this itinerary to lengthen or add in other areas should you wish.
Day 01 Johannesburg to Victoria Falls
Today you board your flight in Johannesburg to Livingstone, Zambia for the start of your 5 Day Zambia Safari. On arrival you will be met and transferred to the Royal Livingstone Hotel where you spend the next (2) nights on a bed and breakfast basis.
Livingstone is a small yet bustling little town close to the Victoria Falls on the Zambian side. The Royal Livingstone Hotel is situated right on the banks of the Zambezi River a little way upstream from where the water plunges into the gorge. Located next to the Mosi oa Tunya National Park guests at the Royal Livingstone regularly see wildlife including hippo and elephant from the hotel property.
Day 02 Guided Touring of Victoria Falls on Zambian side
After breakfast you will be taken on a guided tour of the falls where you can see the falls in their full glory. A visit to the local market is also possible where all manner of curios and memorabelia can be seen or purchased. By lunch time you will be back at the hotel and in the afternoon you will be taken on a sunset boat cruise aboard the African Queen. This boat cruise includes drinks & snacks.
Day 03 Livingstone to Zambezi Valley
This morning after breakfast you will be collected from the hotel and transferred to the Livingstone Airport. Here you board your light aircraft for the flight (via Lusaka), into the Lower Zambezi Valley. Upon landing you will be met and transferred to the Royal Zambezi where you spend the next (3) nights on a fully inclusive basis.
Day 04 - 05 On Safari at Royal Zambezi, Lower Zambezi, Zambia
The Royal Zambezi is on the banks of the seemingly lazy but voluminous Zambezi River. The area is a vast wilderness with landcape varying from rugged hills, big trees on expansive flood plains, and of course the river itself.
Safari activities range from game drives, canoeing safaris, boating safaris, fishing, visit to local villages or simply relax and unwind in an African setting.
Day 06 Royal Zambezi (via Luska) to Johannesburg
This morning after you game drive and safari, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight back to Lusaka Airport. Here you connect with the commercial flight back to Johannesburg, South Africa.
