The Clarendon Bantry Bay is situated on the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.  The hotel has breathtaking views over the ocean and is only a stone’s throw away from some of Cape Town’s best beaches and the V&A Waterfront.  You will be staying in one of their superior suites on a bed and breakfast basis, furnished with all the amenities you would need, panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, and 5-star service from the hotel staff.

Day 02

The Clarendon Bantry Bay, Cape Town

This morning after breakfast, you get to embark on an exciting adventure around the southwestern most point of the African continent- the Cape Peninsula. Known for its rocky outcrops rich in biodiversity, the Cape Peninsula is a scenic route off the Cape’s beaten path, dotted with charming towns and stunning beaches.

Part of your visit to the Cape Peninsula is to the the African penguins at Boulders Beach

Stop off for a chat with the local fishing folk in the coastal gem of Kalk Bay, or enjoy a special visit to Boulder’s Beach in Simons Town. This is the only place in the world where you can interact with a colony of African Penguins whilst roaming around the beach’s shore or snorkelling, kayaking and SUPing in the shallow waters that surround it. For lunch, head off on a secluded gourmet picnic along this wild peninsula, taking in the panoramic views and natural beauty of the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 03

Full day excursion to the whale watching capital - Hermanus

After a delicious breakfast, it is time to wander 140km towards the beautiful seaside town of Hermanus, in the Overberg area. Nestled amongst the coastal nature reserve of Walker Bay and the Kleinrivier Mountain Range, Hermanus is one of the world’s top whale-watching destinations. The picturesque bay acts as a breeding ground for the majestic Southern Right Whales who can often be seen frolicking off the shoreline with their calves from May to November.

Once back on land, you get to explore the unspoiled hiking trails of the vast Stanford Mountains followed by an elegant, fine-dining lunch experience at The Tasting Room in the Stanford Hills Estate.

Day 04

Cape Town to Londolozi Pioneer Camp, Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve

This morning after an early breakfast, you will be transferred to Cape Town International Airport where you will embark on a flight to Nelspruit. On arrival, you will be met and assisted to the Federal Air Lounge appropriately designed and decorated in accordance with a luxury safari lodge. Here you get to unwind with refreshments before boarding your Federal Air Flight to Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve.

Londolozi is renowned for excellent leopard sightings, among many other wildlife species

As you arrive at the airstrip in the Sabi Sands, you will be welcomed by your private guide & game viewing vehicle, and transferred to the authentic Londolozi Pioneer Camp, enjoying a spot of game-viewing along the way. You will be spending three (3) luxurious nights at the family-run Pioneer Camp on a fully inclusive basis, including twice-daily private game drives.

Day 05 & 06

On Safari at Londolozi Pioneer Camp, Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve

For the next two days, it’s all about experiencing a true African safari within the Sabi Sands. The Sabi Sands was the first private nature reserve to be established in South Africa and boasts over 65,000 hectares of open, unfenced land for animals to move around freely. From professionally guided game drives and nature walks to dining under the stars on warm summer evenings, there are plenty of ways to experience a taste of the flora and fauna that occupy this region. Many of these include the famous Big 5 as well as cheetah, zebra, giraffe and an abundant bird population.

We used African Travel again for the second time over Xmas and New Year. Once again, every little bit of our trip ran smoothly and without a hitch. Their communication was great throughout and we will, no doubt, be returning to them in the future too. Thanks Petru.

We had the most amazing time on our self drive tour of Namibia organised through African Travel Gateway. Everything from the planning and booking process, to the arrival and welcome in Windhoek, to the app with the itinerary and directions made for a really relaxed and well organised holiday. But the most important part was getting to experience Namibia - what a spectacular country! The only negative was that we should have booked for longer!
