On arrival at O. R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, you will be transferred by road to Lanseria International Airport, a journey of approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. Here you will check in and board your scheduled charter flight to Limpopo Valley Airfield in Botswana, which takes around 1.5 hours. After clearing immigration, you will be met by your guide and transferred to Mashatu Tent Camp, located within the Mashatu Game Reserve.
Mashatu Tent Camp offers an authentic and intimate safari experience, set beneath the shade of towering trees and blending seamlessly into the surrounding wilderness. The camp features comfortable tented suites with en-suite bathrooms and private outdoor areas, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the natural environment. After settling into your tent, enjoy some time to relax before afternoon tea is served. As you explore the reserve with your experienced guide, you may encounter elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas and a wide variety of plains game such as zebra, giraffe and antelope, as well as excellent birdlife.
After your morning safari, return to camp for a leisurely brunch and time to relax during the heat of the day, perhaps enjoying the peaceful surroundings or watching wildlife pass nearby. In the afternoon, gather for tea before heading out again for your afternoon game drive, when animals become more active as the temperatures cool. As the sun sets over the bushveld, return to camp for a delicious dinner served in the open-air boma, ending the day under a sky full of stars.
After your morning activity and breakfast, you will be transferred by safari vehicle to the southern section of the Mashatu Game Reserve, a journey of approximately 1 hour depending on wildlife sightings along the way. This scenic drive through the reserve often doubles as a game-viewing experience, giving you more opportunities to encounter animals as you make your way to your next lodge.
On arrival at Tuli Safari Lodge Mashatu, you will be welcomed and shown to your suite. Set along the banks of the Limpopo River, the lodge offers a peaceful and scenic setting where wildlife is frequently seen coming down to drink. You will then be transferred to Limpopo Valley Airfield, a short drive of approximately 30 to 45 minutes, in time for your scheduled charter flight back to Lanseria International Airport, which takes around 1.5 hours.
On arrival at Lanseria, you will be met and transferred by road to O. R. Tambo International Airport, a journey of approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, where you will connect with your onward flight home.
