Your journey will begin with a flight from Johannesburg to Maun, upon arrival in Maun you will board your light aircraft charter flight into the Okavango Delta.  Your guide will be waiting to collect you at the Xaranna Airstrip where your safari section of this trip begins.  The drive to camp takes about 1 hour in an open-game viewing vehicle.

Xaranna Entrance

andBeyond Xaranna is located on the western side of the Okavango Delta within its own private concession. The luxury tents all have views overlooking the floodplain with wonderful views of the passing wildlife. Each tent has its own plunge pool, outdoor shower, and luxury amenities.  The camp is based on the subtle tones of the ever-present water lily found throughout the waterways of the Delta.

Day 2 & 3 – On Safari in the Okavango Delta

andBeyond Xaranna offers both water-based and land-based activities.  Days typically start with an early light breakfast followed by a game drive or boat cruise allowing you to spot some or all of the Big 5, you will stop for tea and coffee along the way.  Your afternoons are spent lazing around the camp, enjoying the plunge pool on your private deck, or taking an afternoon siesta.  High tea is served mid-afternoon before you head off on your afternoon activity, either a game drive, boat cruise, walking safari, or mokoro trip (dug-out wooden canoe) through the winding waterways of the Delta.  If you choose to stay in camp you can relax in the main area that looks over a watering hole and game view from the lodge. Dinner is served followed by a nightcap around the boma.
