Day 01

Arrival in South Africa & Transfer to Sabi Sands

After arriving in Johannesburg, you’ll connect to your flight to Skukuza Airport (around a 1 hour flight), where a guide from Lion Sands River Lodge will meet you at the airport for your road transfer into the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve. The journey takes you through a section of the Kruger National Park, meaning your game-viewing experience begins almost immediately as you travel toward the lodge.

On arrival at Lion Sands River Lodge, you’ll be welcomed with warm hospitality and led to your luxury room overlooking the Sabie River — a prime location for spotting wildlife directly from your private deck. Day 02 & 03

On Safari in the Lion Sands Game Reserve

A typical day on safari in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve begins with a light breakfast before you head out on a morning game drive or, for guests wanting a closer look at the environment, a guided walking safari. These walks are led by highly trained rangers who explain tracks, animal behaviour, vegetation, and the smaller details that are often missed from a vehicle. The Sabi Sands is one of the oldest and most prestigious private reserves in South Africa and forms part of the Greater Kruger ecosystem through its unfenced boundary with the Kruger National Park. Day 04

Lion Sands to Mozambique (White Pearl Resort)

After your final morning on safari, you will be transferred to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport for your flight to Maputo, Mozambique (around a 1 hour flight). A representative from White Pearl Resorts will meet you at the airport for your journey to the resort on Southern Mozambique’s secluded Lagoon Coast (around a 90 min road transfer).
